Bienvenue en France!

Last Saturday the whole fambam went for a day trip to Wissembourg, France. It is just near the German border. About an hour away from Mannheim and Pfalz wine region. It was Sophia's first out of the country trip. The main reason why we were there was to buy medicine for my mom and Chris' dad. They are way cheaper than in Germany. We had a great lunch at a hotel's restaurant. Sophia was good until I needed to change her. There is no changing room there, apparently french people don't bring their babies to restaurants. Kidding!  We then decided to just change her in the Ladies room on top of the toilet bowl. Imagine that! Sophia was so shocked the moment i put her down. She cried and shouted so hard i have to go out of the restaurant to pacify her. Food came and she was not changed yet. To make the long story short we ended changing her at Grandpas trunk.

Mama seems like having fun but..

with this reaction i don't think she was pleased.. LOL

the gang!

My little family

and my little princess enjoying the french air. LOL

I think the whole thing was too much for her, she then had a cold the next day. She was congested and fussy but the Vicks on the feet with socks on did the trick. She feels better again today. Thank God.

Get together..

Last Sunday my family and my Starbucks team went to Shabu-shabu. Now that I am in maternity leave for a year I really miss hanging out with them. Since the store is closed on Sundays and they had their   kick off meeting for a promotion we decided to have some get together not over a cup of coffee but over  variety of good asian food.

Sophia of course went along. She was very patient and not fussy at all until she really got so tired. However we really had some good times, again!

at one of the most visited Restaurant in Frankfurt

It is so ironic that i talk about food here and I am trying to lose my extra baby pounds at the same time. Anyway I´m making baby steps in achieving my pre- preggo weight again. I don´t want to speed everything up and in the end I will just fail. One step at a time. One moment each day. Chris bought me a lil gadget to track down my steps,  calorie intake and calorie burned. Fitbit is really helpful for me to stay on track. It also motivates me to walk and walk until i´ll reach my daily goal steps. It synchronizes with my iPhone so it is so easy and portable.  :)

The server sends you motivational emails too.. ;) Isn´t it neat?!

I really hope I can keep up with fitbit. I am still struggling with chocolates and sweets. I really hope I´ll learn to eat healthier. If only i could just say goodbye to chocolates...if only.. lol

My cutie patootie is officially 3 months! I am still in awe how time flies so fast.

and she is trying to roll over now.. hopefully in the next few weeks ;)

That´s it for now... Goodnight! <3

Vaccines..

Yesterday we went to her Pedia for her shots. My lil baby has no idea these people is gonna "hurt" her. She was so all smile until she was given the shot. I hate needles and I hated it more hurting my lil girl. Goodness! It tore my heart seeing her crying and holding her breath for shock or pain. But I have one lil brave girl. I held her and pacified her right away. She then again went all smile and happy.

2 shots.. ;(

On the lighter note we got our Bumbo seat from eBay today. It is not common in Germany to sell this on baby stores. And Amazon is overpricing them. Luckily, I was looking around on eBay and found one. YAY!!! Good as new.  ;)

and i so love the color..

plus it came with a play/food tray..

As you can see she is very happy.. :-)

Have a wonderful weekend everybody..

Love,

Sophia at 3 months

I wanted to make a monthly picture of Sophia and see how she has developed and progressed month to month. She is going to  be 3 months in 3 days. As a mother all I want is to see my child grow happily. Sophia is a very happy baby, she has her bout of tantrums too, she got it from me unfortunately.  Chris and I are really proud of her. She holds her head steady at her first month, discovered her hands and plays her toys (she grabs her toy every time I handed her something, she started cooing and bubbling too. She laughs and smiles a lot.

Here are some pics I made.

thats it for now...
